Lango

About Lango

Your ERPNext holds your prices, stock, customers and cash. Lango makes sure it is only opened from the right place, at the right time, on the right machine.

Set up each branch once: the networks it uses, its opening hours and the computers that may sign in. Lango checks every sign-in against those rules. A cashier cannot log in from home at midnight, and nobody uses the back-office account from an unknown laptop.

It installs in Audit mode: it records who would have been stopped and stops nobody, so you can tune the rules on real sign-ins before you switch enforcement on - one branch at a time.

Lango runs entirely inside your own site. It makes no calls to the internet, so it works on on-premise and LAN-only installations too.

What it does

  • Branch network rules

Allow sign-ins only from the addresses each branch uses, such as the shop wifi range.

  • Working hours

Opening hours per day, overnight shifts and a grace period so nobody is cut off part way through a sale.

  • Approved devices

Register each machine once; other machines cannot sign in. Only a hash is stored, never a browser fingerprint.

  • Audit before you enforce

Installs in Audit mode, recording what it would block without blocking anyone.

  • Activity log and rule tester

See who would have been stopped and why, and test awkward cases - the night guard at 02:00 - before enforcing.

  • Bypass roles

Built-in roles exempt directors, auditors or integration accounts from all checks or from one.

  • Enforce one branch at a time

Each location has its own setting, so you can enforce a branch while the rest keep auditing.

  • Break-glass recovery

If everyone is locked out, one server command switches Lango off - no login needed.

  • No internet needed

No external API, geo-IP lookup or CDN. Works on LAN-only installations.

Compatibility

ERPNext v15, v16

How maintenance works

Your licence is yours to keep. It includes 12 months of updates and support. After that, maintenance is optional and covers fixes when platforms change their APIs, compatibility with new ERPNext versions, new features and support. If you skip maintenance, the app keeps working on the versions you bought it for. Rejoining after a lapse costs 40% of the current licence price.

Questions

Will installing Lango lock anyone out?

No. It installs in Audit mode and stops nobody until you switch enforcement on.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Every check runs inside your site, which is why it suits on-premise installations.

What if we lock ourselves out?

A bench command on the server switches Lango off without anyone signing in, and another switches it back on.

Does it need ERPNext?

It works on ERPNext v15 and v16, and on a plain Frappe site too.

Can I get my money back?

Yes - every licence has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
