Privacy policy

UPEOAI LIMITED runs marketplace.upeo.ai and is responsible for the personal data described here. We handle it in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect

• At checkout: your name, email, company, country, phone number (optional) and the URL of your ERPNext site.
• From Paystack: whether the payment succeeded, the amount, the payment method (card, M-Pesa or bank transfer) and a transaction reference. We do not receive your card number or M-Pesa PIN.
• Waitlist, partner and contact forms: what you type into them.
• Downloads: the time and IP address of each app download, to protect your licence from misuse.

Why we use it

• To issue and deliver your licence, receipt and downloads.
• To provide support and tell you about updates to apps you own.
• To keep accounting and tax records.
• To reply to waitlist, partner and contact messages.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

• Paystack, to process your payment.
• Our email provider, to send your licence and receipts.
• Authorities, where Kenyan law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order, licence and payment records are kept for as long as Kenyan tax and accounting law requires, and while your licence is active. Waitlist and contact messages are kept until they are no longer needed to answer you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Cookies

This site sets a cookie to remember your chosen currency, and a session cookie needed for the site to work. There is no advertising or tracking cookie.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we do not need to keep it by law. You can also object to how we use it. Write to hello@upeo.ai.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.
